Matthew Matt James, born December 5, 1991 in North Carolina. Parents are Manny James and Patty James. He is the son of the Nigerian father and a Caucasian mother. In 2010, he graduated at Sanderson High School and furthered into Wake Forest University where he completed a bachelor's in economics in 2015. James' fame kick-started after he appeared on screen for his debut on the reality show star during The Bachelorette. In 2020, he was picked for the role of 25th season bachelor in The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The season premiered in on the 20th of January in. James is the perfect fit to be the lead because he's tall, handsome and humorous. Rachael krkconnell was chosen to be his partner for this season. He joined forces with famed professional dancer Arnold in 2021, to take part on season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold placed 12th.
